What Not To Do In A Public Place When In India?

Foreign travelers often plan Mumbai India tour to see the good and the bad of the country. India is one of the most toured countries in the world and has a fascinating culture to go alongside its diverse cuisines and historic & heritage monuments.

But the country may be entirely different from the nation where you reside. So, the differences in culture and customs may pose some challenges before you. They can easily be mounted, provided you are familiar with the local norms.

A few things to remember when you are in a public place in the country are:

a. Do not kiss: Kissing on the lips may be a common practice in your country, but the locals of the country are not quite used to the PDA scene. Though, the younger generation is challenging the norm by going full on lips at parks and other hangout places, there is still a halo of taboo bordering around it. You can still do the kissing thing if you are frolicking on the night clubs of Delhi under your India holiday. But try to maintain some lip-distance when on the streets in broad daylight.

b. Do not show too much skin: You can slip into shorts and don sleeveless clothes or off-shoulder tops. But wearing something which shows half your bosoms dangling out or romping about in see-through dresses is not acceptable in general.

c. Do not show the middle finger: By nature, the locals are friendly and hospitable as you will find out during your Mumbai Agra Tour. But they may not take things easy if you are being boorish or if you show the middle finger or utter the f-word.
